Today we’re testing two new AI engraving design tools — EngraveFill Pro and Outlaw Laser Studio. Well, testing ONE and mentioning the other (for now). These apps let you upload an outline (like a metal wallet, knife blade, handle, slide, etc.) and auto-generate detailed artwork in seconds.

For the demo, I used EngraveFill Pro to design a pattern for a brass 1911 grip from CLJ Machine & Tool, then engraved and antiqued it to see how the final result looks.

Both apps are still early, but the concept is promising, and the artwork they generate is surprisingly usable. If you want to experiment with AI-filled scrollwork, leather tooling patterns, and themed motifs, these tools are worth a look.
