In this classroom activity, we demonstrated sublimation and solidification using camphor. 🧪✨
When camphor is heated, it changes directly from solid to vapour without becoming liquid. This process is called sublimation. 💨
When the camphor vapour comes in contact with a cooler surface, it changes directly back into solid camphor. This is called deposition (reverse sublimation). ❄️
This activity demonstrates how some substances can change directly between the solid and gaseous states without passing through the liquid state. 🔬
