Sublimation of Naphthalene | chemistry Practical class 9 #talhakilab #chemistryexperiment
In this video, I perform the sublimation of naphthalene experiment in the chemistry lab.
Sublimation is the process in which a solid directly changes into vapors without passing through the liquid state.
Here, powdered naphthalene is separated from sand using a sand bath, funnel, cotton, and watch glass setup. The vapors of naphthalene condense on the funnel walls and form pure white crystals.
This experiment is very useful for school and college students preparing for Chemistry practical’s (Class 9th, 10th, and Intermediate level).
Precaution: Perform this experiment in well ventilated area.
