My New DIY CNC Machine – Raw Creative 2.5 First Cutting Test

In this video I show the first cutting test with my new DIY CNC machine, the Raw Creative 2.5.

This machine is based on the same idea as my earlier Raw Inventive project, but the design has been updated and improved. The goal is to create a strong, affordable and buildable CNC platform for makers, woodworkers, small workshops and DIY builders.

In this first demo, I cut a 9-layer mandala wall art piece and then 3D carve a decorative Welcome sign. The machine in this video is running the belt-driven version, which shows that even the more budget-friendly setup can produce very good results.

Raw Creative 2.5 is designed as a flexible CNC platform. It can be built with different drive systems depending on your budget and what kind of work you want to do:

Belt drive – simple, affordable and good for smaller machines
Ballscrews – great for extra precision and detailed work
Rack and pinion – a strong option for larger and faster machines

Instruction videos are coming soon, including electronics options for Arduino, Linux and Windows setups. I will also show how to wire everything, install the software and choose the setup that fits your build.

I will also offer some of the harder parts as optional kits, such as plates, screw packages, electronics options and other parts that can make the build easier.

Subscribe if you want to follow the Raw Creative 2.5 project and future DIY CNC builds.

Thanks for watching!

Production note: I usually i talk in my own voice but in this video i use AI-assisted voice-over generated from a clone of my own voice to speed up production and keep things consistent. All scripts, opinions, and technical content are entirely mine.
