3D printing LEGO at 450% scale for my life size Boba Fett statue comes with a problem I didn’t expect — the pieces take so much force to push together they’re nearly impossible to assemble by hand. In this video I experiment with XY hole compensation in the slicer to loosen up those tolerances, and I think I might have finally cracked it. Dialing in settings at this scale is a whole different beast. Every piece custom 3D printed at home on a Bambu H2S, Bambu P1S, FlashForge Creator 5, and ELEGOO Centauri Carbon 2 — alongside the completed 300% scale 3D printed LEGO Malevolence, the in progress 250% scale 3D printed LEGO Barad-dûr, and the completed 150% scale 3D printed LEGO UCS Venator Star Destroyer.
