I Sunk 3D Printed Boats

Today I’m 3D printing 10 different boats, each one bigger than the last, and putting them through a series of tests to see if they float… or sink.

We start with the classic 3D printing Benchy, but by the end we’re testing a massive ship that took over 24 hours to print and assemble.

Each boat has to survive:

• The Float Test
• The Passenger Test
• The Wave Test
• And the brutal Meteor Strike Test

Some boats surprised me.
Some boats failed immediately.
And a few of them… never even had a chance.

So the real question is:

Which 3D printed boat actually survives?
