Full-color 3D printing is here! HeyGears G1X review

The HeyGears G1X is a full-colour 3D printer that prints finished, coloured objects straight off the bed. No painting, no stickers, just colour baked into the print. In this video I put a prototype unit through its paces, painting my own model by hand to see where coloured files come from, breaking down how UV printing actually works, and showing what the machine can really do.

A few honest notes, because I think they matter. The unit I used is a prototype, so the final production machine may differ. The full-colour workflow from a hand-painted file is still being refined by HeyGears. And it can’t print metallics, so if you want metal to look like metal, that’s still a job for the brush.
