CNC Machining & Inspection of Transparent Acrylic Parts | PMMA Precision Components

A precision plastic part is not finished when it comes off the CNC machine.

It still needs to be checked.

In this video, we show a quick look inside our workshop — from CNC machining and production equipment to transparent acrylic (PMMA) components and part of the inspection process.

For small and detailed acrylic parts, there can be many things to consider:

• Dimensional accuracy
• Surface finish
• Edges and machined features
• Optical appearance
• Overall consistency

Transparent PMMA makes many of these details easy to see, which is why process control and inspection are important for precision components.

The parts shown in this video are used for custom applications including:

• Microfluidic devices
• Laboratory equipment
• Analytical instruments
• Precision industrial systems

PMMA is one of the engineering plastics we regularly machine. We also work with PEEK, PAI, PI, PEI, PTFE, PVDF and other technical plastics.

Our work usually starts with a customer drawing or specification and continues through machining, inspection and final preparation.

This video is simply a real look at part of that process inside our workshop.

If you are developing a custom acrylic, PMMA or engineering plastic component, feel free to send us your drawing or project requirements.
