CNC Machining a Titanium Aerospace Part | 97% Material Removal on Haas VF-2

We started with a 16 lb block of titanium and CNC machined it into a lightweight aerospace part on the Haas VF2, removing 97% of the original material in the process. The part required four separate operations to complete while maintaining tight tolerances at every step. Titanium is one of the toughest materials to machine, but its unmatched strength-to-weight ratio and resistance to heat make it vital for the satellites we build.
