The Carvera Air is a desktop CNC might well be the best beginner CNC machine out there. As a complete novice and beginner, I was clueless when it came to CNC, but after a few hours, I got comfortable and really started to appreciate how Makera is approaching this intimidating hobby.

I like the approach that Makera is taking; it reminds me of BambuLab. Pair great hardware with easy-to-use software. Well, they’re almost there.

This isn’t a CNC expert review or a spec-heavy deep dive. It’s a real-world look at what it’s actually like getting started with the Carvera Air as a beginner, and whether it genuinely makes CNC feel approachable rather than overwhelming.
