HP CONCEPT S – ULTRALIGHT 3D PRINTED VTOL DRONE TECHNOLOGY

HP Additive Manufacturing Solutions developed the Concept S, a lightweight VTOL drone designed to demonstrate the potential of industrial 3D printing for UAV manufacturing.

Using HP Multi Jet Fusion technology, the aircraft features a 1.5 metre wingspan and an empty airframe weighing less than 500 grams. Combining printed components with carbon fibre reinforcement, the project demonstrates how additive manufacturing can accelerate development, reduce weight and enable scalable drone production.
