CNC Router

CNC router shaping a cricket bat from a cleft: timelapse

A cleft of willow goes on the CNC router and comes off with the rough shape of a bat. Watch it shape the cleft in this timelapse.

The CNC only gets us started. After that we hand craft it: shaping, sanding, finishing and hand knocking in, all done at the workshop in Brisbane. Every Cooper bat is CNC-profiled and hand-finished, and no two clefts are the same.
