I’ve always wanted to try 3D printing, but as a complete beginner, I thought the learning curve might be intimidating. The Creality K2 Combo changed my perspective pretty quickly.
Rather than just printing toys and test models, I wanted to answer a question that matters to me:
Can a 3D printer become a genuinely useful tool in a DIY garage?
I start as a complete 3D-printing beginner and use the K2 to replace a broken interior part on our Subaru, make a useful garden hose adapter, experiment with multi-colour printing, and explore how I can make my own parts for automotive and DIY projects.
I’ll also walk through the K2 setup, CFS multi-filament system, Creality Print, some of the mistakes I made while learning, and what I discovered about using a 3D printer as another tool in the garage.
