Dot Peen Marking Machine

Have you ever wondered how those permanent numbers on
car chessis or metal parts are made?

This machine is called a Dot Peen Marking Machine.

It is used to engrave numbers, letters, logos, and codes on metal surfaces.

Unlike printing or laser marking, this machine creates deep, permanent marks by physically impacting the surface.

Let’s understand the working in a simple way:

Inside the machine, there is a hard metal pin (usually tungsten carbide)

This pin moves up and down at very high speed

When it hits the metal surface, it creates tiny dots

These dots combine to form letters and numbers

The machine follows a programmed path using X and Y axis movement, similar to a CNC machine.

So basically, instead of drawing a line, it creates a pattern of dots that look like text or designs.

Think of it like a mini hammer tapping very fast to create shapes.

This machine is widely used in industries where permanent identification is required:
