5 things I no longer do with 3d printing #3dprinter
1. Immediately walk away when I am starting a long 3d print. The first layer must be checked to ensure the print will not fail at the beginning.
2. Printing multicolor for a test print. Test prints don’t require multicolor. They just need to print correctly.
3. Not showing my failed prints. I think that is part of the process people don’t get to see when they are doing their research. They only see the pretty print that came from the 3d printer but not the work it took to get the print right in the first place.
4. Thinking I need supports on every single print. This is a big one. All prints don’t really need supports if you orient the print the correct way, you may eliminate needing supports altogether.
5. Research ‘perfect’ settings all the time. What generally works for some 3d printers may not work for yours. Finding your own setting AND saving those setting based on the type/style of 3d print is essential to making sure you get your own optimal prints.
